🇩🇰 Denmark

Denmark on the Baltic Sea is a key sailing area controlling the Danish Straits, combining excellent infrastructure, short passages, and safe navigation.

About Denmark

Denmark’s Baltic coast includes eastern Jutland and the islands of Funen, Zealand, Lolland, and Falster, forming the gateway between the Baltic and the North Sea. The Danish Straits — Øresund, Great Belt, and Little Belt — are among Europe’s busiest waterways, yet remain highly organized and yacht-friendly. Danish marinas are renowned for their quality, depth, shore power, water supply, and clean facilities. Navigation is straightforward, with good marking, sheltered waters, and many safe harbours within short distances. Historically, Denmark controlled Baltic trade routes and levied tolls on passing ships until the mid-19th century. Today, the area is ideal for cruising sailors and an important transit route between Germany, Sweden, and Norway.
