About Roskilde
Roskilde lies deep inside Roskilde Fjord, about 30 km west of Copenhagen, connected to the Baltic Sea by narrow but well-marked fairways. Its inland position provides excellent shelter and calm harbour conditions. The city is historically significant as Denmark’s former capital and a major Viking centre, home to the Viking Ship Museum.
Navigation requires attention to marked channels and depths, but remains straightforward. Roskilde is popular for longer stays and as a quiet stopover between Øresund and the Great Belt.
