You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account.
If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account.
When you delete your account, we remove or replace personal profile data, close access and remove explicit links between retained materials and your account. Private drafts and account authorisation records are cleared. Private file removal may take place separately; failed storage operations are retried.
Useful published reviews, photographs, places and marina information are retained with anonymised author attribution. Submitted enquiries, marina suggestions and facility clarifications are also retained, including while they await review. Removing author attribution does not make a private enquiry public or change its status.
Personal information within text or an image is not automatically removed. To request correction or erasure, contact [email protected] and identify the material. Keeping a contribution does not override your GDPR rights. Deleting a Sailors.tips account does not itself delete conversations or files in ChatGPT or Codex. Information in technical logs and backups may be retained separately; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Anonymised author attribution means removing the explicit account link; it does not guarantee that a person cannot be identified from the content.
Account deletion requests are processed after verifying account ownership.
