Helsingør marinas

Helsingør lies on the northeastern coast of Zealand, directly opposite Helsingborg, Sweden, where the Øresund narrows to about 4 km. Historically, the town controlled maritime traffic through the Sound and collected tolls from passing ships. Today it remains an important waypoint with straightforward approaches and good depths, though attention is required due to heavy ferry and commercial traffic. The yacht harbours are well sheltered and close to the town centre. Helsingør is commonly used as a staging point before entering the Kattegat or as a convenient stop between Copenhagen and Sweden.
