About Newcastle City Marina
Newcastle City Marina is a visitor pontoon facility on the Quayside of the River Tyne, located between the Tyne Bridge and the Millennium Bridge in the heart of Newcastle. The marina comprises floating pontoons running adjacent to the quay wall and offers visitor berthing for yachts in the city centre. The facility is managed by NE1 Limited and is positioned within easy walking distance of city amenities and cultural attractions.
Berthing includes shore power and fresh water supply, and the pontoons are covered by 24‑hour security and CCTV. Waste and refuse bins are provided off the quay near the Swing Bridge arch. Bookings are handled in advance through the marina’s booking process and a berthing confirmation form is completed on arrival; owners are responsible for berthing their own vessels and a marina Street Ranger will meet visiting boats but does not provide berthing assistance.
