About Symbister Marina
Symbister Marina is a small boat marina and mixed-use harbour at Symbister on Whalsay in the Shetland Islands. Visitor access is accepted and alongside berthing is available on the pier and within the harbour basin, but the harbour is a busy working fishing port and visiting yachts should expect commercial traffic and tidal currents in the approaches. The marina basin and pier provide sheltered berthing options and there is also an anchorage nearby.
Harbour support includes shore water and fuel supplied from a bunker tank, shore toilets and showers, waste oil disposal and basic repair and engineering facilities. A local boating club operates ashore. Deeper lifting, full chandlery or winter storage are not recorded as available on official guidance.
