About Shotley Marina
Shotley Marina is a large sheltered yacht marina on the Shotley peninsula where the Rivers Orwell and Stour meet. Access from seaward is via a dredged channel and a lock with a manned control tower; the marina provides finger-pontoons and lateral berths and accepts visiting yachts. The harbour master and lockmaster oversees traffic and berth allocation.
Berths are supplied with shore water and metered shore power. Onshore facilities include toilet and shower blocks, a launderette and a chandlery. A boatyard and engineering and GRP workshop operate on site with a travel lift and boat mover for lifting and movement, and there is a pub and restaurant beside the lock and marina offices ashore.
