About Heligoland Südhafen Marina

Marina Heligoland Südhafen is situated on the southern side of Heligoland, a small German archipelago in the North Sea. The marina is located within the sheltered Südhafen (South Harbour), which is accessed via a marked channel from the open sea. The harbour is exposed to prevailing winds but offers protection from heavy swell, making it a recognized stopover for yachts transiting the German Bight.

The marina primarily consists of floating pontoons and quays where visiting yachts can moor. Facilities and infrastructure are limited compared to larger mainland marinas. Basic amenities are available nearby in the town of Heligoland, which is within walking distance from the harbour. The marina is subject to tidal influences, and strong currents may be present in the entrance channel. Mariners are advised to consult up-to-date nautical charts and local notices before arrival.
