Pärnu

Pärnu, located on Estonia's southwestern coast, is a popular sailing destination known for its sheltered waters and reliable marina facilities. The primary marina, Pärnu Yacht Club Marina, situated near the city center, provides approximately 140 berths accommodating vessels up to 16 meters in length. Facilities include fuel, fresh water, electricity, showers, toilets, Wi-Fi, waste disposal, and a restaurant. The marina is easily accessible, with clearly marked channels and adequate depths averaging around 3 meters, though sailors should remain cautious of shallower areas near the shoreline.

Sailing conditions in Pärnu Bay are generally calm, with prevailing westerly and southwesterly winds averaging 10-15 knots during the sailing season from May to September. Currents are minimal, and tides negligible, simplifying navigation. Historically, Pärnu has been a significant maritime trade port since medieval times, contributing to its nautical heritage.
