Ponza’s harbour town rises above the water like an amphitheatre, but the island itself is the main attraction. Steep cliffs, grottoes and small coves alternate along the shore; the pale wall of Chiaia di Luna is one of its most recognisable sights. Summer brings a lively harbour, beyond which the rocky seascape dominates.
