About La Cala Marina
La Cala is the historic inner-city inlet and porticciolo of Palermo, now functioning as a tourist and diporto berth inside the old town. The basin contains multiple floating pontoons operated under private concessions and provides urban shore access and a long waterfront promenade adjacent to the city’s main monuments. Visiting berths are not published centrally; arrange berthing in advance with the port authority or the individual pontoon concessionaires before arrival.
The port area is managed as part of the city and port system and has been the subject of recent waterfront reinstatement and marina works. Shoreside facilities are urban in character with cafés and promenade amenities nearby; a former fuel pump on one banchina has been removed and dismantled in recent municipal works, so confirm fuel and technical services before planning a call.
