Milazzo is known for connections to the Aeolian Islands but deserves a visit of its own. A large fortified complex rises above the old town, beyond which the headland becomes greener and rockier. The port side differs sharply from the beach coast across the peninsula. Historic walks can be combined with the seascapes of Capo Milazzo.
