Imperia’s two centres have distinct characters. Oneglia revolves around its port and arcaded waterfront; Porto Maurizio climbs to the old Parasio quarter, where narrow streets open onto sea views. A more modern waterfront lies between them. The town combines everyday port life, beaches and a history shaped by the olive oil trade.
