🇭🇷 Jahtsadamad: Horvaatia
Croatia is island-hopping Adriatic cruising with dense marina coverage, town quays, clear water, and high-season pressure on berths and anchorages.
Riigist: Horvaatia
Croatia is one of the Adriatic’s most developed cruising grounds. The coast and islands make it easy to build short daylight passages between marinas, town quays, mooring fields and anchorages, with Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Šibenik and the Kornati area acting as major route anchors.
For a first visit, expect generally straightforward coastal navigation, but also a very busy summer scene. Popular islands and national-park areas can fill early, prices rise in high season, and berth planning becomes part of the route. Outside peak weeks, the same geography feels much more relaxed.
Weather is usually manageable in summer, with daily breezes, but bora and jugo still deserve respect. Bora can arrive gusty and strong from the mountains, while jugo brings a heavier southerly sea. Croatia suits crews who want comfortable island-hopping, provided they plan ahead and keep alternatives for wind, crowds and marina availability.
