Jahtsadamad: Rijeka

Rijeka is the largest city and main commercial port of northern Adriatic Croatia. For sailors, its value lies in logistics rather than scenery: deep waters, straightforward approaches, and easy access to the Kvarner islands. Navigation here is more demanding than in Istria, with stronger winds—especially bora—requiring careful planning. 

Yacht berths are located both within the city and in western suburban areas where conditions are calmer. Rijeka is often used as a transit point before heading toward Krk, Cres, and Lošinj or as a technical stop. It is a working port rather than a resort town, an important consideration when choosing a berth.
