About Stegeborg Marina

Stegeborgs Hamn is a commercial tourist marina run by Stegeborgs Egendom, set in the bay of Slätbaken between the mouth of the Göta Canal and the S:t Anna archipelago. The harbour surrounds the medieval castle ruin and combines seasonal berths, an active guest harbour and shore-side visitor services. The harbour character is geared to visiting cruising yachts and family boaters who want harbour-side dining and convenient shore access to the hotel, café and marina restaurant that form the social centre of the harbour. Practical support is operator-led: guest berths and seasonal places can be booked online and the marina provides electricity and water on most piers, toilets and showers, refuse reception, and a harbour fuel station selling petrol, diesel and marine gasoil. There is a boat ramp and lifting/winter-storage facilities with attendant booking and payment systems, parking and a dedicated camper/stellplatz area — all within short walking distance of the harbour restaurant and facilities.

The marina is located in a very good spot — you can stop there if you don’t make it to the canal in time or, conversely, just after leaving the canal. The marina is very large, but there aren’t many guest berths and mooring on the Y-pontoons is not very convenient.

There is an excellent restaurant right in the marina that is very popular, so it’s best to book it in advance.

There are ruins of a castle near the marina; entry is paid and opening hours are limited, so we couldn’t get inside.

There is a fuel station next to the guest berths. You need to reserve or pay online for a spot; there is a sign on site with instructions.
