Stornoway marinas
Stornoway is the main town of the Outer Hebrides, with a working harbour, island shops and the green grounds of Lews Castle.
Stornoway
Stornoway is noticeably busier than the smaller Outer Hebridean settlements. Shops, cafés and island cultural life are concentrated here, while the harbour remains a working place where yachts meet fishing vessels and ferries. The small centre is closely connected to the waterfront.
Across the harbour stands Lews Castle, with a museum and extensive wooded grounds. These green shores offer a change from port activity to walks among trees with views of the town and water.
