About Marina Vis

Marina Vis is situated on the northeastern coast of Vis Island, Croatia, within the naturally sheltered Vis Bay. The marina provides a safe anchorage point for sailors navigating the central Dalmatian archipelago. Its strategic location makes it a practical stopover for yachtsmen exploring the Adriatic Sea, offering protection from prevailing winds and waves.

The marina is conveniently positioned near the town of Vis, allowing easy access to local amenities, including restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and basic provisioning services. The town itself is known for its historical architecture, traditional Mediterranean atmosphere, and proximity to notable attractions such as ancient ruins and scenic beaches. Marina Vis serves primarily as a functional docking area, providing essential facilities for visiting vessels without extensive infrastructure or luxury amenities.

Visited the marina in late spring for a stopover and island visit. It was pretty packed with yachts.

The unpleasant surprise was the staff that helped with mooring, they were very unfriendly.

It is quite difficult to describe this marina. The place is beautiful and very picturesque, with a charming old town. However, the city dock is very small, and during the season, it is very challenging to find a spot there after noon. As a result, most boats are moored on buoys near the marina. The toilets and showers are located on the second line, and it takes considerable effort to find them.
