Valletta marinas

Valletta occupies a high peninsula between Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour. Its bastions and closely packed limestone buildings are striking from the water. Inside the walls, a small city combines the legacy of the Knights of Malta with everyday capital life: museums, cafés, shops and evening walks.

The historic city and its relationship with the sea are the main attraction. Streets and gardens overlook the harbours and the fortified towns across the water. Reaching the centre from the waterfront involves a climb, and many streets have steps.
