Tampa Bay marinas

Tampa Bay has several distinct shores. St. Petersburg faces its western side, while Tampa lies farther north. Travelling between them is a separate passage, so the choice of town changes the shore visit considerably.

In St. Petersburg, the municipal marina is close to the waterfront, St. Pete Pier and the museum district. It is worth allowing time for walks and art. Tampa offers another city visit, rather than a walkable extension of the same berth.

Yachting shares the bay with major commercial ports. The broad waters offer room to sail, but shipping channels remain an important part of planning a route.
