Jahtsadamad: Paphos

Approaches are exposed to westerly flows: wind-against-set quickly turns the entrance short and steep, while the basin remains calm behind the breakwater. The harbour sits within walking distance of the UNESCO-listed archaeological zone. Tides are minimal, so daily levels are driven mostly by wind set; spring and autumn can see dust-reduced visibility. 

For cruising, Paphos works as a culture-rich stop on a clockwise or counter-clockwise circuit of Cyprus. To the north, the Akamas peninsula hosts turtle-nesting reserves where access and speed are restricted in season. A separate, modern marina at Potima Bay has been tendered for development, distinct from the historic harbour.
