Gideros stands apart from the long, open stretches of the Black Sea coast. A narrow entrance leads into a rounded bay where woodland reaches almost to the water and buildings are few. Its appeal lies in the natural setting and intimate scale: green slopes, rocky edges to the entrance and a shore without a large resort town.
