Sozopol is a seaside town in southern Bulgaria, with an old quarter on a peninsula, wooden houses and a yacht harbour.

Sozopol’s old quarters have a close connection with the sea: houses stand above a rocky shore, with the harbour beside the peninsula. Narrow streets, wooden upper storeys and waterside restaurants give it the character of a small seaside town.
A stop combines walks through old Sozopol with time on the beach. Resort life is more prominent in the newer part of town, and both the beaches and historic streets are lively in summer. The archaeological museum’s collection explores the town’s ancient past.
