Mörkö marinas

Mörkö is an island in the southern Stockholm archipelago, in Södertälje Municipality. Skanssundet is the narrow water between Mörkö and Grödinge. The fairway to Södertälje passes through this area.

The island has wooded shores, small villages, and sheltered inner waters. It feels quieter and more rural than the larger harbours around Stockholm. Skansholmen, near the ferry landing, is the main visitor harbour.

Mörkö is a good place for a quiet overnight, a walk ashore, or a break from city passages. It also works well before or after a passage through Skanssundet.

Use current charts for Skanssundet and the fairway. Watch for the ferry, local traffic, local depths, and current navigational notices.

Best for: a quiet stop in the southern Stockholm archipelago, a sheltered break, and passages toward Södertälje.
