Roja marinas

Roja is a small harbour on the western side of the Gulf of Riga. It is not a major marina centre, but it can be a useful stop when moving between the Irbe Strait, the Latvian coast and the inner gulf.

For a first visit, expect simple facilities and a practical harbour rather than a full-service yachting base. Wind direction over the gulf, local depths and the current state of the entrance should be checked before relying on it.

Roja works best as a route-management stop: a place to shorten a leg, wait for better conditions or add a quieter Latvian coastal pause. Crews should stay self-sufficient and keep alternatives in mind if weather or berth availability changes.
