Rostock marinas

Rostock offers a choice between a city stop and a seaside stay. Near the centre on the Warnow are the Stadthafen waterfront and old quarters with brick churches, the university, shops and cafés. This is a lively part of a large city, where maritime trade sits alongside everyday urban life.

Warnemünde at the river mouth feels more like a resort, with a broad sandy beach, a lighthouse and the old fishing quarter around the Alter Strom. Across the river, Hohe Düne has a large yacht harbour. Visiting Rostock’s historic centre from these coastal berths involves a separate trip ashore or a passage upriver.
