The marina and the city itself were very enjoyable. The city center, surrounded by museums, restaurants, a ferry, and excursion boats, is bustling with urban life. After the quiet marinas on the approach to Turku, the city life is somewhat intimidating. The marina staff are very welcoming and friendly. The marina has all the basic amenities—showers, a sauna, toilets, water, and electricity. However, mooring at the pilings is a significant downside of the marina.
Welcome to the city! This beautiful harbor is situated along the Aura River, in a green and pleasant area. Nearby, you will find several restaurants, museums, and the famous Turku Castle. The harbor is just a stone’s throw from Turku city center, making it very easy to access the city’s attractions. You can also reach a grocery store located right next to the harbor by taking a ferry across the river. The harbor is clean and well-maintained. Sailboats have access to water, electricity, and waste containers. Additionally, there are sauna facilities, showers, toilets, and laundry services available. The harbor café serves a variety of drinks, ice cream, sandwiches, and pastries. For safety, please note that the harbor is open to the public, and people frequently walk along the quay, including those who have not arrived by sailboat.
