Rohuküla

Rohuküla harbor, located on Estonia's western coast, primarily functions as the main ferry terminal connecting the mainland to Hiiumaa island. The harbor provides limited marina facilities suitable for transient yachtsmen, including a small guest quay with approximately 10 berths. Basic amenities such as fresh water, electricity, toilets, and showers are available, but fuel supply is not provided directly at the marina. Sailors should plan accordingly for fuel needs. Navigationally, Rohuküla is approachable via a well-marked channel with sufficient depth (approximately 4–5 meters) for most recreational vessels. Prevailing winds are predominantly westerly and southwesterly, with sailing conditions generally favorable from May through September. Currents are minimal, but sailors should remain cautious of shallow areas outside the marked channel. Historically, Rohuküla has served as an important maritime link between Estonia's mainland and its western islands, maintaining a longstanding tradition as a ferry and maritime transport hub.
