Muhu marinas

Muhu is a small but useful island in the Väinameri sailing area, sitting between mainland Estonia and Saaremaa. For yachts it is less a standalone destination and more a quiet link in west-Estonian island routes.

For a first visit, expect shallow water, marked routes and short passages rather than open-sea sailing. Wind direction matters because shelter is local, and nearby alternatives should be part of the plan if conditions change.

The island suits crews moving slowly through the Estonian islands, mixing small harbour stops with nature and village shore time. Muhu is best approached as part of a relaxed route through Saaremaa, Hiiumaa and the mainland side of the Väinameri.
