Abruka marinas

Abruka Island, located south of Saaremaa in Estonia, provides sailors with a modest but functional marina on its northern shore. The marina accommodates approximately 20 yachts, offering basic amenities including fresh water, electricity, toilets, and showers. Fuel services are not available on the island; sailors should plan accordingly. Mooring is alongside pontoons or stern-to with buoys, and anchoring nearby is possible in sheltered conditions.

Navigation requires caution due to shallow waters and rocky seabed surrounding the island. Depths in the approach channel typically range from 2 to 3 meters, clearly marked by navigational buoys. Prevailing winds during the sailing season (May to September) are predominantly westerly and southwesterly, with moderate currents.

Abruka has historical maritime significance, having served as a traditional fishing and pilot station. Today, it remains a quiet stopover, popular among sailors seeking tranquility and natural surroundings rather than extensive facilities.
