Portishead marinas
Portishead is a Bristol Channel town whose former industrial docks have become a yacht harbour with a modern waterfront.
Portishead
Portishead shows a modern side of the British coast: homes, cafés and restaurants surround a former dock now filled with yachts. It is an unhurried town stop, with walks around the harbour basin.
Outside the dock, the shore opens out. Around Lake Grounds, walks overlook the Bristol Channel and the changing tidal landscape. Bristol itself lies farther inland and offers a separate, larger-city experience.
