Dartmouth marinas
Dartmouth is a historic town at the mouth of the Dart, with hillside houses overlooking a river harbour and green shores.
Dartmouth
The approach along the Dart immediately reveals the character of the place: open sea gives way to high green slopes and houses beside the water. Dartmouth and Kingswear on the opposite bank form a shared harbour with ferries and many small boats.
Ashore are narrow streets, old merchants’ houses and lively quays. Dartmouth Castle at the river entrance recalls its defensive past; walks towards it offer views of the estuary and the sea.
