About Cardiff Yacht Club Marina
Cardiff Yacht Club is a waterfront yacht club on Windsor Esplanade in Butetown, Cardiff Bay. The club maintains a visitor pontoon area accessed from the River Taff after passing through the Barrage. Visitors are welcomed without a berth charge and no advance booking is normally required; on busy weekends rafting may be necessary. The clubhouse provides a bar, toilets and showers (available when members are present), a workshop, open Wi‑Fi and on‑site parking.
The visitor pontoon is reached via a short approach between the club pontoons and is linked to shore by a pedestrian bridge. The club compound and pontoons may be locked outside club hours and re‑entry can require member assistance. Discharge of sewage into the bay is prohibited and the harbour authority publishes navigation and visitor pontoon rules for Cardiff Bay.
