Vigo marinas

The Ría de Vigo is a large inlet in southern Galicia, with the Cíes islands at its entrance. On the southern shore, Vigo combines a major working port with an old centre on a hillside and the fishing district of Bouzas. Fish and seafood remain central to local cooking and city life.

Across the ria, Cangas and Moaña have a smaller seaside-town atmosphere, with sandy beaches and green headlands between settlements. Cíes offers a very different landscape: beaches face the inlet to the east, while high cliffs overlook the ocean to the west. The islands form part of a national park and are one of the area’s outstanding natural attractions.
