Ría de Pontevedra marinas
The Ría de Pontevedra is a Galician inlet with Sanxenxo’s beaches, fishing villages, Combarro’s stone granaries and the Ons islands at its entrance.
Ría de Pontevedra
The Ría de Pontevedra reaches deep into Galicia’s west coast. On its northern shore, the beach resorts of Sanxenxo and Portonovo give way to smaller settlements; Combarro retains stone granaries on pillars beside the water. The southern shore combines the fishing ports of Bueu and Marín with beaches and green slopes.
At the ocean entrance lie the Ons islands, part of a national park. Their rocky shores, beaches and walking trails contrast with the busy mainland waterfronts. At the head of the ria, Pontevedra’s pedestrianised historic centre is another place to explore ashore.
