About da Horta Marina
Marina da Horta is a yacht marina on the southeast coast of Faial, a short walk from Horta town centre. It sits inside a protected harbour behind a breakwater and is a frequent calling point for ocean‑crossing yachts and international regattas. Visitor access is accepted and the facility functions as the main recreational-boat harbour for the town.
Approach is made via the channel aligned with the Boa Viagem lighthouse; tidal currents in the channel are notable and ferry traffic may be present. A staffed harbour office and published VHF radio contact serve visiting craft. Onshore lifting equipment and basic yard support are available. The marina also holds the Blue Flag award.
