Herceg Novi sits at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and is often used as the first “inside-the-bay” stop before heading to Tivat and Kotor. Navigation is generally straightforward, but local winds can funnel and shift quickly in mountainous inlets over short distances. In season, traffic increases (including larger vessels and service movements), so timing and calm maneuvering matter.
