Budva

Budva is Montenegro’s main open-coast stop: more sea and wind exposure than inside Boka, with a more “ocean-facing” approach and berthing environment.

About Budva

Budva sits on the open Adriatic coast, so conditions differ clearly from the inner waters of Boka: you feel more swell, and on onshore winds berthing and close-quarter maneuvering demand extra care. The harbor lies right by the Old Town—perfect for a "city stop," but in season it also means heavy traffic and limited space. Montenegro’s official nautical guide describes Budva as a port converted into a marina, with border/customs functions (seasonal).

Wind-wise, the harbor is well protected from some directions, but strong northerly/easterly gusts can occur (while wave build-up inside may remain limited).
