Baia Vallugola lies at the southern end of the bay inside Monte San Bartolo Nature Park, where the harbour is sheltered by the cliff and a breakwater. The entrance is easy to identify from seaward, and the approach along the coast is generally clear. In northeasterly swell, the harbour mouth becomes more demanding and visibility can reduce. The setting is compact and natural rather than urban, with the marina opening directly onto the bay.

For visiting yachts, Vallugola works as a small transit and resident-berthing stop with a practical, seasonal service profile. Berths are arranged for medium-length boats, with water, electricity, showers, toilets, a slipway and mooring assistance available in the main season. Fuel is not available in the harbour, and nearby shore facilities include restaurants, parking and beach access.
