Jahtsadamad: Izola

Izola was historically a fishing island later connected to the mainland, a feature still reflected in the old town layout. Today it is the most yacht-oriented town in Slovenia, with no heavy commercial port and a clear focus on tourism and marina life. Approaches are straightforward, navigation calm, and shelter is good in most northern Adriatic conditions. 

The town is lively yet relaxed, with restaurants, shops, and services close to the berths. Pilot guides often recommend Izola as the best base in Slovenia.
