Jahtsadamad: Brindisi
Brindisi is Apulia’s natural harbour with inner/middle/outer basins, a busy ferry hub to Greece/Albania and quick access to the Strait of Otranto; nearby Torre Guaceto MPA imposes activity restrictions.
Sihtkohast: Brindisi
Set on a deep, funnel-shaped inlet, Brindisi’s port is divided into inner, middle and outer harbours; the inner section comprises the Seno di Levante and Seno di Ponente. Its position makes it a convenient base for southern-Adriatic cruising and fast crossings via the Strait of Otranto. Regular ferry routes run primarily to Igoumenitsa/Corfu and to Vlorë.
Approaches are covered by VTS; anchoring in designated areas requires prior clearance.
North of town lies the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area (≈8 km of coastline) with A/B/C zoning and restrictions on fishing and other activities—check the current rules before planning stops. Local wind pattern mixes tramontana (N/NE) and scirocco (SE), shaping sea state along this shore; summer brings frequent day-sailing weather windows.
Overall, Brindisi works as a Salento hub: sheltered inner waters, straightforward logistics, and easy eastbound routes.
