About Hydra Town Port Marina

Hydra Town Port is situated on the northern coast of Hydra Island, within the Saronic Gulf of Greece. The port lies at the heart of Hydra Town, which is known for its amphitheatrical layout and traditional stone architecture. The harbor is a focal point for both local fishing vessels and visiting yachts, offering direct access to the town’s waterfront promenade and amenities.

The port itself is relatively small and exposed to northerly winds, with limited space for visiting yachts, especially during peak season. There are no dedicated marina facilities such as fuel stations, repair services, or organized berthing infrastructure. Mooring is typically alongside or stern-to the quay, and space is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Water and electricity may be available in limited supply from the quay. Due to the port’s popularity and constraints, arriving early in the day is advisable for those seeking a berth.

Berthing method — anchor and stern-to the quay. There are very few spots; by 14:00 on Sunday there were no places left, catamarans take two places. Had to go to the anchorage in the neighboring bay Mandraki
