Furusund marinas
Furusund is a northern Stockholm archipelago island in Norrtälje Municipality, with a full-service guest harbour, sheltered waters, and direct access to Furusundsleden.
Furusund
Furusund is an island community in the northern Stockholm archipelago, within Norrtälje Municipality. It sits beside Furusundsleden, a useful north-south route through the outer archipelago, but it is a distinct stop rather than a Stockholm marina.
Furusund Guest Harbour has around 100 berths, with water, electricity, toilets, showers, sauna, laundry, and a harbour restaurant. Food is available nearby. Confirm berth availability, mooring arrangement, and seasonal services before arrival.
On shore, Furusund has a historic resort character, harbour walks, local dining, and links to the surrounding islands. The Furusundsfjärden nature reserve lies a short distance to the north-east and needs the usual care around protected archipelago waters.
On the water, use current charts and follow the marked route through Furusundsleden. Check local depths, passing traffic, wind exposure, and berth instructions; guest berths are normally on buoys.
Best for: an archipelago stop, shore services, quiet overnight, routes through northern Stockholm archipelago.
Watch out for: narrow fairway traffic, rocks and shoals, buoy mooring, local depths, high-season availability.
