About Medulin

Medulin lies at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula and is known as a tourist and yachting area with numerous small bays and anchorages. Unlike larger Istrian ports, Medulin focuses on leisure and basing rather than transit.

Navigation in the area requires attention to depths, as waters are relatively shallow, particularly inside the bay—important for deeper-draft yachts. At the same time, the bays are well sheltered from swell and distances between berthing options are short.

Medulin is often used as a base for exploring southern Istria and the small islands near Cape Kamenjak, as well as an alternative to the busier Pula.
