Info Jussarö

Jussarö is an archipelago harbour in Raasepori, Finland. It suits crews looking for a quieter island stop rather than a full city marina.

The appeal here is the setting and the role it can play in a Finnish coastal itinerary. Plan more self-sufficiently than you would in a large service marina, and check current harbour information before arrival.

Jussarö Harbor is set in very beautiful natural surroundings, surrounded by dense forest. There is a grill area close to the harbor where you can relax and enjoy your time. There are no shops or other infrastructure on the island, so be sure to bring everything you need with you.

Sailboats can be moored either to a buoy or alongside the quay. Electricity is available for sailboats, but no drinking water is provided.

There is a small café in the harbor office. The harbor also has a sauna, which I warmly recommend. The sauna itself is small and does not have a toilet, but the view from the steam room is fantastic. I remember sitting on the sauna bench and seeing a roe deer grazing on the rocky cliff – it was a truly scenic and peaceful moment.

You can also swim in the sea directly from the sauna. During my stay, the sauna schedule was as follows:

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM women’s sauna

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM men’s sauna

Starting from 7:00 PM, the sauna can be booked for private use. In August 2025, the cost was 50 euros per hour.

In the mornings, showers are available in the same location: men from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and women from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The harbor only has a dry toilet.

Scenic marina, all necessary amenities are available. You can enter from both the west and the east. There is a small shop-cafe in the marina. Even on weekdays during the season, there are not always available spots.
