Berths line the inner bay, so approaches and docking are calm and city amenities are within walking distance. The peninsula forms a natural day-sailing circuit: short legs connect the town quays, the northwest shore and the western harbours. Routes fan southeast into the Gökova Gulf and southwest into Hisarönü, both rich in weather-safe anchorages.
Tides are small; wind and pressure drive sea level and sea state. Summer brings a reliable sea-breeze pattern, while northerly phases add an “Aegean” touch—planning focuses on short hops and frequent windows.
