Set deep inside Fethiye Bay, Göcek fronts the Skopea Limanı bay system, so cruising naturally falls into short daylight legs between well-sheltered anchorages.
A dense line of marinas sits along the town waterfront; under the lee, approaches and berthing are calm, with yards and provisioning close by. This is a micro-tidal area: sea level and sea state are driven mainly by wind and pressure; summers bring a dependable sea-breeze, with occasional northerly Aegean-style pulses.
Much of the area is environmentally protected: mooring fields and no-anchoring sectors safeguard seabeds, so follow buoyage and local prescriptions when stopping outside marinas. Waste-water pump-outs are recorded in the national tracking system—check current rules and log operations when calling at facilities.
