О месте Lübeck

Lübeck lies on the River Trave, reached from the sea via a buoyed fairway that runs right into the city. Berths along the historic waterfront put provisioning and transport within walking distance of the Old Town. The medieval core showcases brick-gothic Hanseatic architecture, with church spires forming the skyline above the quays.

Downriver, the seaside district of Travemünde concentrates the larger marinas and the ferry traffic at the river mouth. For cruising, short day sails along the rim of the Lübeck Bight are the norm, with easy returns to home base.

The inner Trave offers calmer water than the open bay and suits training runs. Tidal range is small in this part of the Baltic; water levels respond mainly to wind setup and surges. Via the Elbe–Lübeck Canal the city connects to Germany’s inland waterways and the Elbe.

Overall, Lübeck is a two-face hub: a cultural city stopover paired with swift sea access through Travemünde.
