The sailing route between Parainen (Pargas) and Nauvo (Nagu) lies within Finland's Archipelago Sea, known for sheltered waters, numerous islands, and clearly marked channels. Typical sailing season runs from May to September, with prevailing southwesterly winds averaging 10-15 knots. Currents are minimal, and water depths along marked routes generally exceed 5 meters, suitable for most recreational vessels.

Nauvo guest harbor (Nauvo Marina) is a prominent marina located centrally in Nauvo village, offering approximately 150 berths with stern-to mooring. Facilities include fuel dock (diesel and petrol), fresh water, electricity, showers, sauna, laundry, waste disposal, Wi-Fi, provisioning stores, restaurants, and marine services. Parainen guest harbor, smaller in scale, provides around 50 berths, electricity, water, showers, provisioning, and basic marine services.
