Марины: Dinteloord
Dinteloord is an inland hub on the River Dintel by the Volkerak: non-tidal fresh water, direct access via Manderssluis to the Volkerak, and easy routes to the Krammer and Volkerak lock complexes.
О месте Dinteloord
Set in North Brabant on the River Dintel, Dinteloord connects directly to the Volkerak, which is freshwater and essentially tideless.
Water levels are managed and can vary with wind set-up.
Access to the Volkerak is through Manderssluis at Dintelsas; temporary closures may occur during high-water control or algal events.
From here you can route southwest to Grevelingen and the Oosterschelde via the Krammer locks, or north/east to Hollands Diep and Haringvliet via the Volkerak locks.
Fairways are sheltered and speed-limited; expect wake controls and orderly approach procedures at locks.
Traffic is mixed, with local commercial vessels and cruising yachts; lock basins can be busy in season.
In summer the Volkerak occasionally experiences algal blooms affecting bathing but usually not navigation.
Prevailing winds are westerly to south-westerly; seas are short and steep in squalls but wave heights remain moderate inside the delta.
Winter bridge/lock hours are reduced, so passages should be timed to schedules.
Overall, Dinteloord is a practical staging point for delta transits in the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt system.
